Job Description
Conference and Events Sales Manager
As a Conference and Events Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue and managing the sales efforts for our conference and events facilities. You will play a key role in attracting and managing clients, ensuring the successful execution of conferences, meetings, and events, and contributing to the overall success of our venue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to attract corporate clients, event planners, and organizations to book conference and event spaces.
- Identify and target new clients while maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, ensuring profitability.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and customize packages to meet their specific needs.
- Manage client expectations and ensure a seamless event planning and execution process.
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Oversee event planning and coordination, working closely with the operations and catering teams to ensure the successful execution of events.
- Create detailed event proposals, timelines, and floor plans to meet clients’ expectations.
- Ensure all logistics, equipment, and staffing needs are met for each event.
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
- Analyze market data and conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
- Make data-driven decisions to optimize sales and marketing efforts.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the conference and events budget, including revenue and expense tracking.
- Monitor expenses, maximize revenue, and ensure profitability in line with financial goals.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing materials and promotional strategies to attract event bookings.
- Participate in trade shows, networking events, and promotional activities to generate leads and raise awareness.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales and event coordinators.
- Ensure the team is aligned with sales targets and provide guidance and support for their success.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in conference and events sales and management within the hospitality or event industry.
- Strong negotiation and sales skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of event planning, logistics, and catering.
- Analytical skills to assess market conditions and make informed decisions.
- Budget management and financial acumen.
- Marketing and promotional experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field.
