Senior Sales Associate

As a Senior Sales Associate, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and leading the sales team to achieve targets. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service while also mentoring and supporting junior sales associates. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong sales background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead by example by providing exceptional customer service and demonstrating product knowledge.
2. Assist customers in finding products that meet their needs and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
3. Coach and mentor junior sales associates to improve their sales techniques and customer service skills.
4. Support the sales team in achieving individual and team sales targets and goals.
5. Handle escalated customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
6. Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
7. Train new hires on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies and procedures.
8. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
9. Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
10. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts as needed.
11. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point of sale (POS) system.
12. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding sales transactions, returns, and exchanges.
13. Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.
14. Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or management is a plus.
2. Proven experience in a retail sales environment, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve targets.
6. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
7. Basic math skills and familiarity with cash handling procedures.
8. Positive attitude and willingness to lead by example.
9. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
10. Reliable and punctual attendance.
