Job Description

Lounge Associate

As a Lounge Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and exceptional guest experience within a lounge or club setting. Your role will involve providing attentive and personalized service to patrons, maintaining the ambiance and cleanliness of the lounge, and assisting with various tasks to enhance guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Guest Service**: Welcome guests to the lounge, provide information about services and amenities, and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

2. **Food and Beverage Service**: Take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure that guests’ needs are promptly attended to. Knowledge of menu items, including cocktails, wines, and specialty drinks, is essential.

3. **Upselling and Recommendations**: Proactively suggest menu items, promotions, or upgrades to enhance guests’ experience and maximize revenue for the establishment.

4. **Maintaining Lounge Standards**: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the lounge area, including tables, seating areas, and bar counters.

5. **Beverage Preparation**: Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes and standards, including mixing cocktails, pouring wines, and brewing coffee or tea.

6. **Cash Handling and POS Operations**: Process guest payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash transactions, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.

7. **Compliance and Safety**: Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including food handling practices, alcohol service regulations, and emergency procedures.

8. **Customer Relations**: Build rapport with guests, anticipate their needs, and respond promptly and courteously to any inquiries, requests, or concerns to ensure a positive and memorable experience.

9. **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other lounge associates, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to maintain smooth operations and deliver seamless service to guests.

10. **Promotions and Events**: Assist with promoting special events, happy hours, or promotions, and actively engage guests to participate in activities or initiatives to drive business and create a vibrant atmosphere.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a hospitality, food and beverage, or customer service role, preferably in a lounge, bar, restaurant, or similar setting.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
4. Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions and operating a POS system.
5. Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, including mixing cocktails and serving wines.
6. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the business.
7. Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to providing exceptional service to guests.
8. Compliance with legal age requirements for serving alcohol, if applicable.
9. Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures, menu items, and promotions.
10. A positive attitude, enthusiasm for hospitality, and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
