Job Description

Butler Associate

As a Butler Associate, you will be an integral part of providing personalized and high-quality service to clients in a private household or upscale hospitality setting. Your role will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort, convenience, and satisfaction of residents or guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Hospitality Management**: Oversee the smooth operation of household services, including butler duties, housekeeping, meal service, and event planning, to maintain an impeccable standard of service.

2. **Personal Assistance**: Provide personalized assistance to residents or guests, including organizing schedules, making travel arrangements, handling reservations, and coordinating appointments as needed.

3. **Household Maintenance**: Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the residence, including overseeing housekeeping staff, managing inventories, and arranging repairs or maintenance services as required.

4. **Food and Beverage Service**: Assist with meal planning, preparation, and service, including setting and clearing tables, serving meals, mixing drinks, and ensuring that dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated.

5. **Guest Relations**: Welcome and attend to guests courteously and professionally, anticipating their needs, providing recommendations, and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay.

6. **Event Coordination**: Plan and execute special events, parties, and gatherings hosted at the residence, including managing invitations, coordinating vendors, overseeing setup and cleanup, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

7. **Security and Confidentiality**: Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding residents’ or guests’ personal information, security protocols, and household affairs, ensuring their privacy and safety at all times.

8. **Communication**: Liaise effectively with other household staff, contractors, vendors, and service providers to coordinate activities, relay instructions, and ensure efficient operations.

9. **Problem-Solving**: Handle any issues, concerns, or emergencies that arise promptly and professionally, implementing effective solutions and mitigating disruptions to service.

10. **Professional Development**: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and service standards through ongoing training, professional development opportunities, and networking within the hospitality community.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a similar role within a private household, luxury hotel, or upscale hospitality environment.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a courteous, polished, and professional demeanor.
3. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
4. Discretion, integrity, and respect for confidentiality in handling sensitive information and interactions with residents or guests.
5. Knowledge of proper etiquette, formal service protocols, and fine dining standards.
6. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of residents or guests.
7. Physical stamina and the ability to perform duties that may involve standing, lifting, bending, and carrying objects.
8. Proficiency in relevant technology and software applications for scheduling, communication, and household management.
9. A proactive and service-oriented mindset, with a commitment to exceeding expectations and delivering exceptional service.
