Waiter

As a Waiter/Server, you are a crucial member of our hospitality team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests in our dining establishment. Your role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:
   • Greet and seat customers courteously.
   • Provide menus and answer questions about menu items.
   • Take accurate food and beverage orders.
2. Order Processing:
   • Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
   • Communicate orders to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
3. Service Excellence:
   • Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
   • Ensure the accuracy and presentation of dishes.
4. Table Maintenance:
   • Set up tables with necessary utensils, napkins, and condiments.
   • Clear tables of used dishes and reset for the next customers.
   • Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
5. Customer Interaction:
   • Check-in with customers during meals to ensure satisfaction.
   • Address any customer concerns or special requests promptly.
6. Upselling:
   • Recommend additional menu items, desserts, or beverages to enhance the dining experience.
7. Cash Handling:
   • Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
   • Provide change or receipts as needed.
8. Team Collaboration:
   • Coordinate with kitchen and other waitstaff for smooth service.
   • Assist colleagues during peak hours or as needed.
9. Menu Knowledge:
   • Stay informed about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
   • Communicate any menu changes or specials to customers.
10. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:
    • Follow hygiene and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Adhere to food safety regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience as a waiter or server is advantageous.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Knowledge of basic math for processing payments.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
