Job Description


As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures throughout the facility. Your work will ensure that all carpentry tasks are completed to the highest standards, contributing to the overall maintenance and aesthetics of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Construction and Repair:
    • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
    • Build and install frameworks, partitions, doors, windows, and other structures.
    • Repair and replace damaged woodwork, ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship.
  2. Maintenance:
    • Perform regular inspections of wooden structures and fixtures to identify maintenance needs.
    • Sand, stain, and finish wood surfaces to enhance appearance and durability.
    • Ensure all carpentry work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
  3. Project Management:
    • Plan and laid out carpentry projects, including measuring and marking cutting lines.
    • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
    • Estimate materials, time, and labor costs for carpentry projects.
  4. Equipment and Tool Management:
    • Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment, including saws, drills, and sanders.
    • Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and stored properly.
    • Follow safety protocols when using tools and equipment to prevent accidents.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other maintenance and engineering staff to complete projects.
    • Coordinate with contractors and external vendors when necessary.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about project progress and any issues.
  6. Customer Service:
    • Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff promptly and courteously.
    • Ensure minimal disruption to guests during carpentry work.
    • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while interacting with guests and staff.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical condition and stamina.
  • Certification in carpentry or relevant trade (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  • Comfortable working in different environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.

Work Environment:

  • Construction and maintenance areas within the hotel, resort, or facility.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and various weather conditions.
  • Interaction with maintenance staff, contractors, and guests.
