Hostess Lobby Bar

The Hostess for the Lobby Bar is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for providing a warm and welcoming experience. This role includes greeting guests, managing reservations, and seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. The Hostess will also assist with guest inquiries and contribute to a pleasant and organized dining atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Reception: Greet guests warmly as they enter the Lobby Bar, making them feel welcome and valued.
  • Seating Management: Manage seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring an even distribution of guests across servers. Escort guests to their seats, presenting menus and informing them of any specials.
  • Reservation Management: Handle reservations, cancellations, and special requests professionally and efficiently. Maintain an accurate waitlist during peak times.
  • Customer Service: Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously. Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by providing exceptional service.
  • Coordination with Staff: Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service flow. Relay any special instructions or guest preferences.
  • Ambiance Maintenance: Ensure the Lobby Bar area is clean, organized, and visually appealing. Assist with setting up and clearing tables as needed.
  • Knowledge of Menu: Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and promotions. Be prepared to make recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Ensure that the entrance and surrounding areas are safe and accessible.
  • Promotional Activities: Assist in promoting special events, loyalty programs, and other promotional activities to enhance the guest experience.
  • Reporting: Provide feedback and report any issues or incidents to the Lobby Bar Manager or Supervisor.


  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a hostess or customer service role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
    • Basic knowledge of reservation and seating management systems is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
