Job Description

Lead Server

**Job Responsibilities:**

1. **Team Leadership:** Provide guidance, support, and direction to the serving staff, ensuring smooth service operations and adherence to service standards.

2. **Training and Development:** Train new servers on service procedures, menu knowledge, and customer interaction, and provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance their skills and performance.

3. **Shift Coordination:** Coordinate server assignments, sections, and rotations to optimize service efficiency and ensure all areas are adequately staffed during peak hours.

4. **Customer Service Excellence:** Set an example of exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, addressing their needs promptly and professionally, and resolving any issues or complaints to their satisfaction.

5. **Order Management:** Oversee the flow of orders from placement to delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper presentation of food and beverages.

6. **Upselling and Revenue Generation:** Encourage upselling techniques among serving staff to increase sales of appetizers, desserts, specialty drinks, and other high-margin items.

7. **Quality Control:** Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and portion sizes to ensure consistency and adherence to established standards.

8. **Problem-Solving:** Address any operational issues or customer concerns efficiently, seeking assistance from management as needed to resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction.

9. **Communication:** Maintain open and effective communication with management, kitchen staff, bartenders, and serving team members to coordinate service activities and address any issues or concerns.

10. **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations at all times, and enforce restaurant policies and procedures among serving staff.

6. **Teamwork:** Collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve service excellence and customer satisfaction.

7. **Knowledge of Food and Beverage:** Thorough understanding of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and wine and beverage offerings to assist customers and train serving staff effectively.

8. **Previous Experience:**  Previous experience as a server or in a similar supervisory role within the food and beverage industry is typically required.

9. **Flexibility:**  Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate business needs.

10. **Attention to Detail:**  Meticulous attention to detail in overseeing service operations, monitoring quality standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
