Job Description
Food and Beverage General Service Engineer
1. **Equipment Maintenance:** Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all food and beverage equipment including but not limited to refrigeration units, ovens, grills, fryers, beverage dispensers, and dishwashers.
2. **Preventive Maintenance:** Implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition, reducing downtime and minimizing repair costs.
3. **Emergency Repairs:** Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize disruption to food service operations.
4. **Inventory Management:** Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels for routine maintenance and repairs.
5. **Vendor Management:** Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and repairs as needed, ensuring quality of work and adherence to budgetary constraints.
6. **Safety Compliance:** Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines in all maintenance activities, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
7. **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory, facilitating efficient tracking and reporting.
8. **Training:** Provide training to F&B staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment to prolong lifespan and optimize performance.
9. **Continuous Improvement:** Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
1. **Technical Knowledge:** Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults effectively.
2. **Experience:** Previous experience in maintenance or engineering roles within the food and beverage industry is preferred.
3. **Certifications:** Relevant certifications in equipment maintenance or engineering fields are advantageous.
4. **Problem-Solving Skills:** Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently and implement effective solutions under pressure.
5. **Communication:** Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and management regarding maintenance activities and requirements.
6. **Attention to Detail:** Meticulous attention to detail in equipment inspections, maintenance procedures, and documentation.
7. **Flexibility:** Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate maintenance needs and emergency repairs.
