What you will be doing:

•  To ensure proper operation of the plumbing equipment and thus an efficient water supply throughout the hotel.
•  To ensure proper and efficient functioning of sewer pumps at the times and carry out preventive maintenance of the same.
• Responsible for all plumbing and drainage in all the areas of the property i.e. outdoor drainage, irrigation network, etc
• Maintain and keep all automatic flushing valves operational
• Maintain and clean all fat traps within the kitchen areas
• Ensure regular maintenance and chemicals are used for cleaning existing soil and stacking pipes
• Ensure all roof-level ventilation vent pipes and roof rainwater outlets are kept clear at all times
• Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials
• Install, repair, and maintain underground storm sanitary, water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, and conditioners. Carries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor.
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
• Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment
• Works closely with supervisor/team leader and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance program.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations on the job, departmental procedures, and instructions.
• Identify required tools and special equipment and select the type and size of pipe required
• Reports to the Team Leader/ foreman regarding daily work progress and trouble report completion

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Vocational certificate or diploma in electronics or technical studies, maintenance
• Experience in a similar field
• Ability to speak clearly English
• Skills in the following categories: Plumbing, Pipe fighting, Water Heater, Boilers, Electrical (an advantage), General Maintenance
