Job Description

Brasserie Bartender

As a Brasserie Bartender, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional beverage service to guests in a bustling brasserie environment. Your responsibilities will include crafting a variety of drinks, engaging with guests, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to the overall ambiance of the establishment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Beverage Preparation:** Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, according to established recipes and guest preferences.

2. **Mixology Skills:** Demonstrate proficiency in mixology techniques, such as shaking, stirring, muddling, and layering, to create innovative and classic cocktails with precision and flair.

3. **Guest Interaction:** Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations, describing drink offerings, and ensuring a positive and memorable experience at the bar.

4. **Order Taking:** Receive and process drink orders from servers or directly from guests, entering them accurately into the point-of-sale (POS) system and preparing beverages promptly.

5. **Upselling and Promotion:** Promote featured cocktails, specials, and premium beverage offerings to guests, enhancing their dining experience and increasing revenue for the brasserie.

6. **Bar Maintenance:** Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times, including bar tools, glassware, and garnishes. Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.

7. **Quality Control:** Ensure that all beverages are prepared to the highest quality standards, with attention to presentation, taste, and consistency. Use fresh ingredients and garnishes to enhance the guest experience.

8. **Guest Satisfaction:** Anticipate guests’ needs and preferences, providing attentive service and personalized recommendations. Address any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.

9. **Safety and Compliance:** Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including responsible alcohol service practices and compliance with local liquor laws. Monitor guest intoxication levels and intervene as needed to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.

10. **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with other bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to coordinate orders, ensure efficient service, and maintain a cohesive team environment.

**Qualifications:**

1. Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant, bar, or similar hospitality setting, with a strong knowledge of beverage preparation and mixology.
2. Proficiency in creating a wide range of cocktails and drinks, with creativity and attention to detail.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and provide exceptional customer service.
4. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for processing orders and handling transactions.
5. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the brasserie.
6. Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) preferred.
7. A positive attitude, enthusiasm for hospitality, and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences through beverages.
8. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in bartending or mixology is a plus.
