Job Description

Waitress

As a waitress in the Food & Beverage department, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to restaurant guests. Your primary role will be to take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. You will work closely with other members of the restaurant team to maintain a high standard of service and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
2. Present menus and provide detailed information on menu items, specials, and promotions.
3. Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
4. Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately according to standard operating procedures.
5. Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests.
6. Handle guest inquiries, comments, and complaints professionally and escalate as necessary.
7. Process guest payments using POS (Point of Sale) system and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables, setting up for service, and resetting tables for the next guests.
9. Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient and seamless service.
10. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
11. Upsell menu items and promote special offers to maximize revenue and enhance guest experience.
12. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a similar role in the food and beverage industry preferred.
2. Strong customer service and communication skills.
3. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
5. Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash.
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients and preparation methods, preferred.
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality is a plus.
10. Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays of food and beverages.
