Waiter/Waitress (Food & Beverage)
Position:Â Waiter/Waitress (F&B)

Reports To:Â Restaurant Manager / F&B Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a dining setting. This includes taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests. The role requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen/bar staff.
- Order Delivery:
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure orders are prepared and presented according to established standards.
- Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course or drink.
- Table Maintenance:
- Set up tables before service and ensure they are clean and properly arranged.
- Clear tables after guests leave and reset them for the next service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Billing and Payments:
- Prepare and present checks to guests.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods securely.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist colleagues during peak times to maintain service standards.
- Compliance:
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Upselling:
- Suggest additional menu items, specials, or promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Qualifications:
- Experience:Â Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a customer service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Basic math skills for handling payments.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays of food or beverages.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
