– Assess the dining room’s availability and assign appropriate tables to guests.
– Manage a waiting list during peak times and provide estimated wait times.
4. **Communication:**
– Communicate effectively with guests, providing information about wait times, specials, and restaurant promotions.
– Relay important information to serving staff and other team members.
5. **Coordinating with Serving Staff:**
– Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service.
– Communicate any special requests or requirements from guests to the serving staff.
6. **Maintaining the Reception Area:**
– Keep the reception area clean and organized.
– Ensure that menus and promotional materials are available and in good condition.
7. **Handling Guest Inquiries:**
– Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding reservations, menu items, and general information.
