Hostess

As a hostess, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Your primary focus will be on greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and coordinating with other staff members to ensure efficient and smooth operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Greeting and Seating Guests:
   • Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
   • Escort guests to their assigned tables and present menus.
   • Provide information about daily specials and promotions.
2. Reservation Management:
   • Take and manage reservations, ensuring accurate recording of guest details.
   • Coordinate with the kitchen and waitstaff to manage the flow of reservations.
3. Communication:
   • Effectively communicate with guests to understand their preferences and special requests.
   • Relay information to other staff members to ensure guest satisfaction.
4. Maintaining the Waiting Area:
   • Keep the waiting area clean and organized.
   • Manage the waitlist during peak times and provide estimated wait times.
5. Collaboration with Staff:
   • Coordinate with waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
   • Communicate any special requests or considerations to the appropriate personnel.
6. Handling Guest Concerns:
   • Address guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
   • Seek assistance from management when needed to resolve more complex situations.
7. Upselling and Promotions:
   • Promote specials, promotions, and loyalty programs to enhance the guest experience.
   • Encourage guests to try additional menu items.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and composed demeanor.
• Knowledge of basic reservation systems and restaurant operations.
• Positive and friendly attitude.
