Front Office Agent
The Front Office Agent is responsible for greeting guests, managing the check-in and check-out process, and handling guest inquiries and complaints. They act as a central hub for communication between guests and various hotel departments (like Housekeeping and Maintenance) to ensure a seamless stay.
Key Responsibilities Front Office Agent
1. Guest Relations & Check-In/Out

Greeting & Registration: Welcoming guests upon arrival and verifying their identities and payment methods.

Room Assignment: Managing room inventory to assign appropriate rooms based on guest preferences and availability.

Departure: Processing check-outs, finalizing guest accounts, and ensuring all charges are accurate.
2. Financial & Administrative Duties

Payment Processing: Handling cash, credit card transactions, and billing for corporate accounts or travel agencies.

Reservations: Assisting with walk-in bookings, modifications, or cancellations.

Reporting: Performing “End of Shift” reports and ensuring the cash drawer balances correctly.
3. Concierge & Support

Inquiry Management: Providing information about hotel services, local attractions, dining, and transportation.

Issue Resolution: Handling guest complaints with empathy and professional “service recovery” techniques.

Communication: Managing the switchboard, taking messages, and coordinating “wake-up calls.”
Requirements & Skills Front Office Agent
