Head of Sales Events
Department: Sales, Marketing & Events
Reports to: General Manager / Director of Operations
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly motivated Head of Sales Events to lead and oversee the sales and events operations at Company/Hotel. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing revenue strategies, acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, and ensuring exceptional execution of all corporate, social, and hospitality events.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader, excellent communicator, and results-driven professional with deep knowledge of sales, event management, and the hospitality market.
Key Responsibilities head of Sales Events:
1. Sales Leadership and Strategy

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase revenue across all business segments (corporate, leisure, events, F&B, MICE).

Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.

Maintain a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting and relationship-building.

Prepare annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance plans.
2. Event Management and Operations

Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all events, ensuring quality standards and client satisfaction.

Collaborate with internal departments (F&B, Banqueting, Front Office, Marketing) to ensure seamless event operations.

Manage large-scale events, conferences, weddings, VIP functions, corporate meetings, and special hospitality events.

Develop event packages, price structures, and promotional offers to drive bookings.

Conduct event inspections, pre-event planning meetings, and post-event evaluations.
3. Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate partners, travel agencies, and event planners.

Serve as the senior point of contact for high-value clients and strategic accounts.

Handle client contracts, negotiations, and service-level agreements.

Ensure client feedback is collected, analyzed, and used to improve service delivery.
4. Team Management

Lead and supervise the Sales & Events team, providing coaching, training, and performance assessments.

Establish clear goals and KPIs for team members.

Foster a positive, high-energy work environment that encourages collaboration and excellence.

Recruit and onboard new team members when needed.
5. Marketing and Brand Positioning

Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaigns that drive awareness, leads, and event bookings.

Assist in developing promotional materials, digital marketing strategies, and social media content for events.

Represent the company at trade shows, tourism fairs, networking events, and industry conferences.
6. Administrative and Financial Oversight

Manage budgets for events, sales activities, and marketing initiatives.

Ensure accurate documentation, proposals, event orders (BEOs), and contracts.

Track revenue performance and provide detailed reports to management.

Maintain compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Requirements Head of Sales Events:
Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sales, or related field.

MBA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Experience
-
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Sales or Events management within hospitality, luxury hotels, or event venues.

Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing large-scale events.

Strong leadership and team management experience.

In-depth understanding of hospitality event standards (MICE, banqueting, weddings, corporate events).
