About the Role

A leading restaurant in Malta is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Barista to join its growing hospitality team. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about coffee, customer service, and creating memorable guest experiences. The barista will play a key role in ensuring smooth café operations, preparing high-quality beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Key Responsibilities

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, specialty coffees, teas, and fresh juices, as defined by the restaurant’s menu. You will be expected to follow consistent preparation standards, operate coffee machines efficiently, and ensure cleanliness and quality at every step. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work quickly and accurately during busy peak hours. Maintaining stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and consumables is essential, along with ensuring correct storage and rotation of products.

Additionally, the Barista will maintain a clean and hygienic work area, following Malta’s local health and safety standards. Candidates must also be capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks during peak service times. Flexibility in working hours—including weekends and holidays—is essential, as restaurant schedules vary. Basic POS knowledge and cash-handling skills are an advantage. Candidates applying from outside Malta should be eligible to obtain a work permit, and some employers may provide visa or relocation support for strong profiles.
