Shisha Manager

As a Shisha Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and smooth operation of our shisha lounge or hookah bar. You will oversee all aspects of the business, including customer service, staff management, inventory control, and compliance with regulations. Your goal is to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for our patrons while ensuring the business’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:
    • Welcome and engage with customers, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
    • Handle customer inquiries, address concerns, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure that all customers comply with age and smoking regulations.
  2. Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of shisha attendants and servers.
    • Create work schedules, assign duties, and provide ongoing performance feedback.
    • Maintain a cohesive and productive staff environment.
  3. Shisha Quality and Preparation:
    • Ensure shisha products are of high quality, properly prepared, and served in a safe manner.
    • Manage inventory of shisha flavors, coals, and equipment, and restock as necessary.
    • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of shisha pipes and equipment.
  4. Menu and Pricing:
    • Develop and update the shisha menu, including flavor offerings and pricing.
    • Implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue while remaining competitive.
  5. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations regarding smoking establishments.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and relevant permits and licenses.
  6. Business Growth and Promotion:
    • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
    • Monitor and analyze customer preferences and feedback to make necessary improvements.
  7. Financial Management:
    • Manage the budget, control costs, and optimize profitability.
    • Keep accurate records of sales, expenses, and inventory.
  8. Security and Safety:
    • Implement security measures to ensure the safety of customers and staff.
    • Respond to emergencies and address security issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the shisha, hookah, or hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with a diverse clientele.
  • Knowledge of different shisha flavors, preparation, and presentation.
  • Familiarity with local smoking regulations and health standards.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Business acumen and the ability to manage budgets and financial aspects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in hospitality or business management is a plus.
