Hostess F&B
The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in a restaurant or hospitality setting. She is responsible for providing a warm welcome, managing reservations, and ensuring guests have an excellent dining experience by coordinating seating arrangements and assisting with their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor upon arrival.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservation requests.
- Monitor the dining area to anticipate guest needs and address them promptly.
- Communicate with the waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reception and waiting areas.
- Provide accurate information about the menu, special offers, and the restaurant’s services.
- Assist with managing waitlists during busy periods.
Guest Welcome and Seating Management
- Greet guests with a friendly, professional demeanor upon their arrival, setting a positive tone for the dining experience.
- Manage reservations, ensuring they are accurately logged, and maintain an organized seating chart to minimize wait times.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to immediately.
- Adjust seating arrangements as necessary to accommodate guest preferences or special requirements.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Hostess or in a customer-facing role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A friendly, approachable, and professional appearance.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- Familiarity with reservation software or systems is a plus.
- Fluency in multiple languages is advantageous.
