Job Description
Front Office
- As a Front Office Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your primary responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service, managing the check-in and check-out processes, and addressing guest inquiries and requests in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Reception and Assistance
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing them with a warm and professional experience.
- Handle the check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate billing and payment processing.
- Manage reservations, including bookings, modifications, and cancellations in a timely manner.
- Guest Inquiries and Customer Service
- Answer phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries regarding room availability, rates, and hotel services.
- Provide guests with detailed information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining options.
- Address guest requests and complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain an organized front desk area, ensuring paperwork is accurately completed and up-to-date.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping to ensure smooth office operations.
- Process guest check-out, ensuring the proper handling of payments and invoicing.
- Collaboration with Hotel Departments
- Coordinate with other hotel departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to fulfill guest needs efficiently.
- Ensure guest preferences and special requests are communicated to the relevant departments.
- Promoting Hotel Services
- Inform guests about hotel services and special offers, encouraging them to make use of additional amenities.
- Suggest local attractions, activities, and dining spots based on guests’ interests and preferences.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a front office or customer service role is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using computer systems, hotel management software, and reservation platforms.
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the local area and its attractions is a plus.
- Flexibility: Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate guest needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to lift and carry items up to a certain weight, such as luggage or office supplies, as needed.
