Job Description
Nurse specializing in Psychiatry for a prominent healthcare facility in Qatar. We are seeking a professional from Arab nationalities who can provide high-quality nursing care in a psychiatric setting, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
Job Title: Nurse – Psychiatry
Location: Qatar
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services according to instructions from the Nurse-in-charge of the shift, following treatment plans to best meet patients’ needs.
• Prepare rooms for new admissions, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients.
• Clean and prepare medical equipment/areas according to clinical standards.
• Greet newly admitted patients upon arrival and escort them to their rooms, delivering a high level of hospitality.
• Take detailed notes about the care services provided and patients’ responses, providing feedback to the Nursing Supervisor for service improvement.
• Treat all patients fairly to ensure satisfaction with the level of service provided.
• Provide nursing care with respect for privacy, knocking before entering patients’ rooms.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of all patient care information.
• Offer emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate environment.
• Notify patients appropriately before changing their room or roommate (where/if applicable) to ensure their comfort.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas to uphold high quality and hospitality standards.
• Relay information from the Clinical Team to patients and their families, addressing their questions and concerns.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by monitoring and reporting the status of the physical environment and supporting a positive therapeutic milieu.
Minimum Requirements :
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Nursing.
• 3 years of experience in nursing, including 1 year of experience in mental health or addiction.
• Valid primary license from the country of origin.
• Eligibility for a license from the Licensing Authority in the State of Qatar to practice as a healthcare professional.
• Bilingual(Arabic & English) candidates are preferred
