Job Description

Spa Receptionist

As a Spa Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and guests visiting our spa. You are responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing the spa front desk, and ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting Clients: Welcome and assist clients and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner as they arrive at the spa.
  2. Appointment Scheduling: Manage spa appointments efficiently, including booking, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
  3. Phone and Email Communication: Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and providing information about spa services, packages, and availability.
  4. Check-In and Check-Out: Check clients in and out for their appointments, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and payment processing.
  5. Client Information: Maintain client records and ensure that all necessary information, including health history and preferences, is updated and accurate.
  6. Payment Processing: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely, and provide clients with receipts.
  7. Retail Sales: Promote and sell spa products, gift certificates, and packages to clients. Provide product knowledge and recommendations.
  8. Spa Environment: Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and inviting. Manage inventory of spa amenities and supplies.
  9. Appointment Reminders: Confirm upcoming appointments and send reminders to clients as necessary.
  10. Customer Service: Address client inquiries, concerns, or special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
  11. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and maintaining spa records.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college or relevant training in hospitality or spa management is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a spa receptionist or in a customer-facing role in the spa and wellness industry is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using booking and appointment management software.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced spa environment.
  • Knowledge of spa services, treatments, and products is a plus.
