F&B waiter/waitress

The Food and Beverage (F&B) Waiter/Waitress plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing attentive service and ensuring guests’ needs are met promptly. This position involves taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Service: Welcome guests warmly, seat them, and provide menus. Offer assistance with menu choices, answer questions, and provide recommendations when needed.
  2. Order Taking: Accurately record and relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen and bar. Ensure special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated and accommodated.
  3. Table Service: Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, following proper service techniques and presentation standards.
  4. Table Maintenance: Clear tables efficiently, reset them, and ensure a clean and tidy dining environment for incoming guests.
  5. Payment Processing: Present bills, accept payments, process transactions accurately, and return change or receipts promptly. Handle cash and credit card payments following established procedures.
  6. Guest Interaction: Foster positive relationships with guests, address their needs, and promptly attend to any concerns or special requests.
  7. Collaboration: Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure a smooth flow of service and timely delivery of orders.
  8. Menu Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials.
  9. Compliance: Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service regulations, as well as restaurant policies and procedures.
  10. Upselling: Promote additional menu items, specials, and beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or similar establishment is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
  2. Strong customer service and communication skills.
  3. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  4. A positive and friendly attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  5. Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash.
  6. Physical ability to carry trays, lift and move items, and stand for extended periods.
  7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
